About Hyrum LaTurner

Hyrum LaTurner lives with his family in Crown Point, Indiana.  He is licensed to practice law in Indiana, Illinois, and Montana.  Hyrum has a PhD from the University of Chicago and has been a professor of Philosophy for the past twenty years.

He received a J.D. cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and is presently in the MSRI program (Master of Science in Risk and Insurance) from Butler University.  Hyrum opened his own law firm in 2022 with the express aim of developing a practice focused on tax law, estate planning, business development, and captive insurance.

Hyrum worked as a Public Defender and therefore has experience in Criminal Law.  He has also represented clients in many family matters such as custody, divorce, visitation, and child support.

Hyrum is a devoted husband and father.  He married his wife, Michelle, in 2016.  He brought three children—and she brought three children of her own—to the marriage.  As if that weren’t enough, Hyrum and Michelle had two babies together—bringing the grand total of children in the family to eight!

Michelle is presently working her way through medical school at Indiana University.  She intends on becoming an Ob/Gyn.  Together they feel fortunate to balance the demands of a growing law firm with the rigors of formal education.  Hyrum brings wisdom, compassion, and practical insight to his clients to help not only navigate legal issues, but to help find balance and peace when necessary—or to expand and grow as opportunity allows.

In his spare time Hyrum has been a collegiate national racquetball champion, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach, and an Ironman triathlete.
